Our Learning Environment

Spaces Planned for Exploration

Classrooms are set up around Learning Centers, where children have the opportunity to discover specific subjects through independent and collaborative learning.

Learning Centers have a main focus (communication, creativity, invention, etc.) with open-ended learning materials that encourage discovery and can be moved to different Learning Centers for new uses.

Natural Learning

Children have plenty of space, and plenty of time, outdoors to discover even more unique learning opportunities. In nature, they can explore and encounter something new each time they step outside.

Infant Learning Centers

Cozy Area: Children have a safe, quiet place to relax, read books, have conversations, and snuggle together.

Personal Care Area: Care routines allow teachers to engage in conversations and relationship-building with children. Children bond with Primary Care Teachers who provide focused attention.

Exploration Area: Children experiment with new ways of doing things to learn about the world around them. Children manipulate and interact with materials to explore how things fit, move, and balance.

Movement Area: Children can explore by stretching, reaching, crawling, and walking, to develop motor skills, balance, and coordination.
